KustrinFormer German Territories in Poland German Province: Brandenburg / Neumark
Here is a selection of images of the former German 'fortress' town of Kuestrin / Kustrin, situated on the River Oder in Brandenburg, Prussia, Germany. Since the end of the Second World War and the redrawing of the maps of Germany and Poland, Kustrin has been renamed Kostrzyn Odra and is part of the Polish province of Lubuskie, western Poland. We hope that by making these old postcards available online that they will be of interest to anyone interested in the long and fascinating war and peacetime history of Kuestrin / Kustrin (Cuestrin / Custrin) or researching their German, Jewish or Polish ancestry.
